An Evening With Domaine Ogier

One of Southern Rhône Valley's most legendary appellation, the House of Ogier has, for over 155 years, been an influential producer of excellent French wines and an advocate of a certain way of life.
On Friday 13th July, 2018, Blend Bistro & Wine Bar will present an Evening with Domaine Ogier.

Domaine Ogier's Head Wine Maker, Edouard Guérin will be at Blend Bistro to help us present to you four outstanding wines from this legendary Domaine.
Wines that are refined and elegant, yet will age beautifully for years ahead.
In addition Blend Bistro owner and Head Chef, Laurent Scire will personally select and prepare a comprehensive range of cold cuts, cheeses, canapés and tapas dishes that will perfectly compliment the four wines to be presented.

Lirac Tradition Lou Caminé, 2016
Côtes du Rhône, Gentilhomme Blanc, 2015

Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes
Châteauneuf du Pape, 2014
Aged 12 months in oak barrels
Appearance : The robe is frank with blue-toned colours.
Nose : The nose unveils burlat cherry and fig aromas
with spices such as nutmeg, with cocoa and morello
cherry eau de vie notes.
Palate : The palate carries silky tannins. A freshness in
the mouth, combined with complex red fruits, gentle
spices and smoky notes.

Saint Joseph Baligant Rouge, 2016
100% Syrah
12 months aged in wooden containers (depending on vintage)
Appearance: Dark ruby colour with bluish highlights.
Nose : Intense nose of dark fruits (blackcurrant, blueberry) and morello cherry on a mineral
base of pencil lead. Leather notes blend with grilled fruit.
Palate: A bold palate with a tartness evident on tasting, complexity,
balance and strong persistence on the palate.

Lirac Tradition Lou Caminé, 2016
100% Cinsault
6-12 months ageing in tanks.
Appearance : Deep cherry red colour.
Nose : Bouquet of ripe red fruits, with notes of leather and sweet spices. This wine has a complex and mineral character.
Palate : Full-bodied, with fresh aromas - the tannins are elegant, silky and attractive with a long finish on vanilla notes.

Côtes du Rhône, Gentilhomme Blanc, 2015
A typical Ogier signature in this white wine, with minerality, freshness and depth.
100% Rousanne
Appearance : Pale golden colour.
Nose : Intense bouquet of white flowers, violets and acacia honey.
Palate : Ample mouthfeel, refreshing with a long lingering finish.
