The World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

Founded by William Grant in 1887, Glenfiddich Distillery is still today owned and managed by direct descendents of the founder.

The original, handbuilt Glenfiddich Distillery was completed in 1887 following a year of intense, back-breaking labour by William and his family. William’s dream was to create “the best dram in the valley” and this ambition remains at the heart of Glenfiddich's today.

To create outstanding, consistently awarding-winning Single Malts requires patience, knowledge, experience and of course those little family secrets that only the inner-circles are privy to.

As well as perfecting the core ranges, a constant drive for discovery has meant a wide range of unique, rare and remarkable Single Malts proudly bear the Glenfiddich name.

In a tireless search over the years, the Glenfiddich Malt Masters have independently invented new distilling and maturing methods such as the celebrated Solera Vat. They have tirelessly worked to perfect the art of blending for flavour and consistency. Every expression the Malt Masters approve for release is something they are willing stake their reputations on.

At Blend Bistro & Wine Bar, we have 3 different variations of Glenfiddich Single Malt for you to enjoy - 12, 15 and 18 year matured.

The Glenfiddich signature malt, and the pioneer of the single malt Scotch whisky category, is renowned for its beautifully balanced nose and refreshingly complex flavour.

In 1887, William Grant used the pure waters from a local spring called the Robbie Dhu to make his whisky. Over 120 years later, it still uses the same water to ensure this classic single malt retains its character and integrity.

It is this crystal clear water, along with the whisky's long maturation in bourbon and sherry oak casks, that gives Glenfiddich 12 Year Old its complex, rounded flavours of fresh pear and subtle oak; notes that help make it the world's favourite single malt.

it delivers a classic refined flavour with rich, sweet and fruity tones developing into butterscotch, cream, malt and subtle oak flavours.

Exemplifying the family’s tradition of innovation, the 15 Year Old expression is created using a technique pioneered by the Malt Master and its warm, spicy flavours are transformed with the alchemy of the Solera Vat.

Uniquely amongst Scotch whisky distillers, the Malt Master matures Glenfiddich 15 Year Old in three types of oak cask, sherry, bourbon and new oak, to pervade it with rich fruit flavours and distinct spice and honey notes.

He then marries it in our unique handcrafted Oregon pine Solera vat, which is always kept at least half full, to give it a beautiful balance and create a deliciously harmonious, consistent and complex whisky that gets increasingly complex over time.

Our Solera system is the culmination of curious minds and the pioneering spirit. It’s also the secret behind this whisky becoming the first 15 year old expression to enter the top ten best selling single malts.

Great for experiencing a premium, mature, rich, silky smooth malt with an intriguingly complex aroma and subtle, sweet layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger.

A luxurious, delicately crafted and full-bodied single malt is produced in small batches.

Specialist on-site coopers personally look after every precious cask used for this outstanding 18 year old single malt throughout its long maturation, ensuring the oak is in the best condition to imbue the whisky with its notes of baked apple, cinnamon and robust oak.

Married for at least three months in small, individually numbered batches in wooden tuns, the Glenfiddich 18 Year Old has a unique depth and complexity that has been acclaimed in the industry.

Great for experiencing classic rich Glenfiddich whisky with luxurious dried fruit, candy peel and date flavours overlaid with elegant oak notes.
